Want to change the world?

It has become apparent to me that the world, this nature that surrounds us is full of awe inspiring beauty. In fact, the universe, in all is vastness is quite amazing from the formations we see in space to the microscopic world we study.

The only thing that creates either a life worth living, or a world worth changing is us. Yes, humans decide every day whether to make life better or worse for themselves or others around them. There are many things that need changing in the world, but I think that many simply feel overwhelmed, helpless, and lost...

What can I do? I'm one of 7 billion people on this planet. How am I going to change the world to make it a better place to live? Sadly, this is the attitude of many people. The answer is really quite simple though: change yourself.

Yes, the only thing you truly have power over is your own thoughts and actions, but this changes the world. Yes, you are 1 in 7 billion, but every 1 person that makes life better for themselves and for others, makes the world that much better!

So look up from the screen and think for a moment about doing just 1 thing that will improve the life you live or enhance the lives of those around you. Think on this every day and simply do it. Ask others to do the same.

It's so simple and easy, yet we leave life the same way day in and day out more often than not. Imagine becoming a force for the improvement of, not only your own life, but the lives of countless others as they all ask their friends to do this as well. Imagine if just your circle of friends had caught on to this idea and made a commitment in their life to improve things for themselves and for you every day. Imagine how quickly your life would become so unexpectedly better!

Improve yourself. Improve life for others. At least 1 thing per day. Challenge your friends to do the same. Post your results. I want to see how you change the world for the better!

My name is Reverend Nathaniel Eerenberg, an ordained minister with the voluntaryist ministry on Facebook, a nurse, and a father creating a better world as I have opportunity. Have an awesome day!

I think that it really is a cycle of repetitive change to make things better. The only thing that can stop the cycle is denial.
