Last night i posted this with an alternate Steem Scrabble Account. I am re-posting for more visibility Please follow the account @steem.scrabble also.

I would like to introduce a Scrabble tournament league to the SteemIT Community. As a child i grew up playing Scrabble with my friends and family and as an adult I still love the game. I am sure there are tons of fellow Steemians who would love to play against each other too, and who doesn't want to win some STEEM right?

So, i spent the last few days researching the best option for online Scrabble games, and the options were very limited. Words with Friends was the most popular option, but I didn't think it was good for what I wanted to do. Finally i came across a a "PyScrabble" it is a Scrabble clone that is entirely written in python and it comes with a server to host your own scrabble games.

After testing the server for the past 2 days it's running smooth with no problems. I've created a couple of test accounts and the game play happens instantly between player to player on my server. Not a lot of power is needed to run this server so we should be able to run plenty of games on here.

In order to play the game you have to register your user name on the server. Users who are registered on the server will be able to create their own games, group chat, private chat, send offline messages and watch game tables. The server also has a ranking system so we can keep track of who has the most wins (and the most losses).

Winners will receive payouts within 24 hours of sending the email

Registering with your SteemIT username ensures that you will receive your payout if you win. If you don't register with your SteemIT username i will not know who you are, and you won't be able to receive your payout.

The Games ⌛️

Timed games will be preset for each player to have 3 minutes to make a move

Rewards 💰

To start this league I will be donating the 5 SBD out of my own wallet, per game. In the future I will be using the post payouts to reward the winners of the tournaments and the matches, so hopefully things take off and I can get big tournaments and big prize pools going. If there is anyone who would like to donate to this initiative please leave a comment.

Other Ways to Win

Our Scrabble server has a leaderboard for accomplishments. At the end of every week players who rank the highest for these accomplishments will also win SBD. The accomplishments are:

• most points from a word
• most wins
• longest word played
• most words in one move

At the end of each week i will check the leaderboards will pay out 5 SBD to the winners at the end of every week.

Who I Am

I am a fellow steemian who LOVES scrabble, my main user account is @rondonson i have a reputation of 57 on this website, and i currently run the #rapchallenge here and i am a SteemIT backup witness. I wanted to make a separate account just for the Scrabble games, but you can be sure that i am a real person and i am trustworthy.

Right now i wont have any games listed on the server, i want people to join and then i will add a couple of games for SBD. This is an initiative i am hoping people will come together and help me build up. Scrabble is a timeless game of intelligence and i think it'll be so cool to get this league going and big. If anyone at all has any other suggestions on how i can make this better, please let me know.

Also, PyScrabble is open-source it'd be cool if a dev or devs could add some things to source to make it better, if possible.
