Hello, I'm Scott Henderson - The Un-Employable guy living in South Korea. Just how did I get here?

Greetings everyone, as the title says I am Scott Henderson and here is my (hopefully not too long winded) introduction about me and what perhaps I can bring to the community here at Steemit.

First off lets get the basic stuff out of the way shall we?

I am going to be celebrating the 10th anniversary of my 45th birthday in a couple of weeks, should be fun!

I am originally from Upstate New York and do miss several things New York related but do not miss living there.  I am a New Yorker at heart so feel free to hate me when I say, "Let's go Yankees!", (yeah we suck this year I know.)

I retired from the U.S. Air Force in the 90's and I am forever grateful for the experiences and the life lessons that I gained from that.

After retirement I started my own business and travelled the U.S. and the world installing cable technologies.  I gained some pretty big clients in those days to include a former President of the United States.

As I was approaching my 45th birthday I was beginning to realize that I either needed to invest a lot of time and resources to get up to speed on the latest technologies (think copper versus fiber optics) in my chosen field or get the hell out.

So I ended up in South Korea,  Land of the Morning Calm.  And is it ever, just look at this shot from an early morning ride along a river.

This pic is shot though the yellow tinted glasses I was wearing, cool huh?

I am not going to bore you here in this post as to what projects I do online to survive, I will save that for another post, but I will show you some of the cool stuff I enjoy doing.

First up is cycling.  I have a dream of one day riding completely around the coast of South Korea to include the border with North Korea along the DMZ.

Another one of my passions is camping.  Korea is really beautiful and if you enjoy the outdoors there is plenty to see, just look at the below photo which was taken directly in front of where I pitched my tent up in the mountains.

I camp all over Korea, from the beach to the mountains.

Above is at Buan on the western coast, stayed there for 5 days and saw some enjoyable sunsets.

Finally I have a huge passion for cooking and over in the food section I will be posting a bunch.  Here are just a few of my food porn shots from recent dishes I have cooked up for friends.

So that's about is for this post, I hope that it was a enjoyable read with some cool pictures.  I have plenty more to share and do hope to see some good feedback below.

Until next time "Live Life!"

Scott
