I used to work as a counselor for developmentally disabled and mentally ill adults... its hard work, there's a mix of heart-warming and heart-breaking moments... but I loved it, as you love your work.

Very well-put, the peaks are high and the troughs low. But yep, amazingly rewarding work :)
