I'm Sheila, an outgoing young expat living and working in Beijing, China. I'm originally from Kota Kinabalu, in the state of Sabah, Malaysia (whereas most of you might know or heard of it as North Borneo, the Land Below the Wind), a tropical city where the majestic Mount Kinabalu lies, a place where you get to experience the best of both worlds - in the fast-laned, concrete jungle (pun intended), or unwind yourself in paradise in one of the many islands surrounded by crystal clear water. Not to mention, the nature reserves are definitely a go-to as a short sweet escape away from civilisation.

Now let's talk about how I was introduced to Steemit, shall we?

It all started 2 months ago when my brother, @eric-isaiah jumped on the bandwagon when a close friend of his talked him into making good use of his writing. I was targeted a few days later, by my brother. I was pretty excited when he got me into signing up, despite the few hiccups I had to go through with the last step to set up my account. So, here I am! Writing my very first blog post.

Who am I? What are my interests? What will you find from my blog?

• Constantly improving myself day by day to live a well-balanced, healthy lifestyle. It's all about the yin and yang.
• I'm a huge foodie and a devoted home cook, you will be expecting to see a few of my recipes and reviews for new cafés/restaurants/bars that I'll explore occasionally.
• Besides that, I'm a fitness junkie, though I should clarify beforehand that I would only be showing you my home workouts for the time being as I have no access to a nearby gym at the moment.
• I travel pretty often as well, sometimes for meetings, mostly for leisure.
• There will be some posts about fashion and beauty as well - Makeup/beauty tutorial in the near future, perhaps? 😉

There won't be a specific theme to my blog. It will be more like an insight of my life, new challenges that I'll be facing and a hotchpotch of my thoughts.

This is the end of my "introduce yourself" post, I hope you enjoyed it and also get to know me a tad by now, and maybe foresee what kind of posts I have in-store for us! I do hope Steemit will be a platform for me to share my stories and to be connected with you in any mutuality, and inspire one another.
