I am going to move you

in #introduceyourself7 years ago (edited)

I am finally here. My brother @mikkolyytinen has been telling me about Steem for about a year already. However I had the most chaotic 2017 (I guess this applies to everyone) and I could not find the time. My excuse is pregnancy and giving birth to my first child, which is one the best excuses ever to neglect your passion. Right?

My mission/passion is to move people. To help people. To make people smile and feel good about themselves. I really believe everyone has a purpose/meaning/mission/calling/passion and this is mine. I want to write AND give you simple body hacks, mobility hacks and some guidance how to improve your lifestyle.

The other evening I told my husband: "Nothing is better than seeing a smile on someone's face when you have been able to help them." I have a horrible sense of humour and I added to that: "And to own a lot of meaningless shit." You should have heard my snort laugh after that. I know I am a little too attached to my stuff.

What do I have to offer?

  • Fast and simple solutions to aches and pain in your body
  • Simple and quick exercises that make sense
  • My thoughts on happiness and satisfying life

I am a nurse, no bullshit personal trainer and a massage therapist by education and I am a passionate Roller Derby athlete, however I gave up my serious competing career and I chose to start a family instead. I announced that I would quit completely but five weeks after my baby was born I was back on skates. Addiction is an addiction. I have promised myself that in case it becomes a huge stressor in my life I will have to reconsider. For now I am playing and coaching in a small league and I am not traveling abroad for games anymore. So it is just a hobby I enjoy.

I have spent so much time in the last 10 years on studying good health that I strongly believe I have something that I can share. Some shortcuts as I know how confusing the world of fitness and wellbeing and health is. While I am passionate about anatomy and science behind the techniques I am using I am trying to keep my posts short and simple enough to keep you interested.

I am giving you references and further reading occasionally but some of the things I am telling you are coming from my own experience on the field. I am setting a goal to post each week and possibly more often. Time is limited but I really do have a passion for sharing what I have learnt. Stay tuned.

Hey

Moikka, tosi mukava löytää suomalaisia tyyppejä täältä! :)

Hyvä! Siitä se lähtee :)

Welcome to Steemit and I do hope you'll enjoy your stay in here! Hopefully it will not be a disappointment, but if nothing else I do hope you'll find at least some great people on Steemit.

Amazing people and new ideas are the best thing to be found on Steemit, not only the rewards we can get from our posts.

Looking forward to your posts, especially if you happen to have some seriously good health tips I can (or we all can) benefit from :)

Thank you! Quite excited to get started and I will give you some tips asap! Working on it already.

@apsu Its a great welcome to a newbie. You made her

Well.. I'm quite sure I did not make her, but thanks :)

Welcome to the STEEM world! Love your name @slothlete

Mahtavaa, seuraillaan tilanteita :D

Welcome! I look forward to learning more about health and wellness from you. I'm a new steemian, too :) One of my favorite parts of your blog is, "My mission/passion is to move people. To help people. To make people smile and feel good about themselves." Let's do this! #fullsteemahead

"However I had the most chaotic 2017 (I guess this applies to everyone)"

Yes, that is true for me at least.

Welcome to Steemit, I have very high thoughts about your brother, but both him and me is using all to much time sitting on our butts, drawing. I could probably need some body hacks :)

It is good to acknowledge that :) There is a blog post coming up about sitting vs standing and my thoughts on that too :D keep reading and I hope I will give you some inspiration.

I will prepare for the hack. Happy New Year!

perfect post

welcome to steemit @slothlete, best regards..
hopefully you feel at home here. 😊
