WEEK MANAGEMENT CONCEPTS

I would like us to start by asking our selves the following questions.

  1. What did I do in the previous week?
  2. What activities did I learn during the course of the week?
  3. What life lessons do I capture from the activities?
  4. In which way has your life strengthened from their passing?
  5. Where did I succeed?
  6. Where did I have a chance to learn from your mistakes?
  7. What challenges did I face?

One of the best techniques I always put in mind is having a weekly analysis. I always spare some time on Sunday to carefully determine the preceding week and ask myself the above questions. I always examine my successes looking to see which ability I posse that will allow me to make those small accomplishments. This study of a week allows me to have some clear insight into my progress. If I can’t find anything I learnt from the past week then it was useless. When I take a look at my past week, looking at what i have learnt and how I have control myself, I can really see how exactly I am using my time.

Just think that this week has gone. Don’t beat yourself up about your failures, focus instead on how you can use that wisdom to avoid succumbing to the same problems in the coming week.

I prepared these steps to take you in your coming week.

Looking previously at your week can be a very motivating exercise because this gives you the agenda to put into focus what is good to you.

The next step is to select what you want to be done in the week ahead. As I also advocate short daily review times, I don’t find them as significant as the weekly review. It is unpractical for most people to spend a few hours reviewing their day. More importantly, a day is often not enough to see the larger tasks done or behavioral trends that we can see in a week. Occasionally we can have a larger interruption which can throw much of our day. However over the course of seven days, if each day gets off-course from an interruption we can see a larger trend which wants business.

Utilize this week to really reconnect with your long-term and mid-range goals. This is the time to review and make precise or add new ones. Taking your long-term goals into account can allow you to effectively plan out your week to extent you nearer to achieving them.

CONCLUSION

Give yourself a period of time each week, completely undisturbed when you can spend some time reflecting on your past week and planning for the week ahead. Don’t tell me you’re too busy. You are too busy not to spend some time reflecting about your past week. Doing this review might be the most important thing you do all week, so I’m sure in the 168 hours per week you can find one or two to do this.
