Anyway, hope everyone's doing great here. Let's get this through. I'm Lakshman Raj. I was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I also go by the IGN (In-game name) StrychNine (That's a name of a poison compound. I'm lethal you know...Kappa!) as you may have already noticed. And the fact that I used the tern IGN would've given you a hint that, YES, I'm a gamer, in the Steemit zone now!

Just like 99% of kids in Malaysia, or possibly Asia, or anywhere in the world, I grew up in a family that believed gaming is a waste of time and future. That indeed made a typical kid who used to spend hours after school in cybercafés sharpening my gaming skills. Trust me, my mom hides the computer power cable so I won't be on the computer almost all the time I can get. This craving came from my brother @illkrux who used to play Half Life mod called Counter Strike (which eventually became CS 1.5) back then. Eventually, I got into it too and everything pretty much took off from there. I mostly play first person shooters, especially CS:GO (crazy fan of the game and sport, aiming to be a pro CS:GO player myself)! But I also play other games in general like horror, action and adventure.

Growing up in my world of gaming led me into creating my own YouTube gaming channel where I can share my gaming highlights and moments. Although the community there is fine, I wanted to expand myself to a more positively engaging community. So, here I am on Steemit. Plus, YouTube is a pain of its own (partnership program..monetization rules..) so let's go decentralized. Playing games is not just entertainment for me. It's how I escape the madness and chaos around me in this world. I learn a lot from games as well with more and more game developers embedding amazing histories and rational knowledge in their games. Different people have different factors that's a big part of their lives. Gaming is mine.

Before I conclude, I'll round off myself as a person. I'm generally quiet. I observe a lot. I tend to be real and logical in a straight forward manner. That sort of made some people think I'm being a jerk. I find entertainment in intelligent sarcasms. I also can be a living a meme sometimes. Regardless, I'm a cool person to around with to have a good talk and exchange stories.

With all that said, I'm truly excited to share my gaming, entertainment and life experiences this beautiful community. I hope I will be accepted comfortably and initialized as gaming Steemian (that sounds like a sick clan!). You can expect everything from gaming videos to everything else I find interesting. Hopefully I'll meet some cool people here. Let's all join forces and bring gaming to the blockchain!
