Greetings everyone!

This is my first post and I want to introduce myself! I'll try to keep it short though I have so many things to share :)

Not kidding actually, the world is wonderful place and one of the most inspiring things for me is music and everything associated. Mostly I'm interested in underground genres and in any unusual music. I'm running different music blogs since 2007, so I had tons of sounds going through my head and sometimes it paved really bright traces in it. Despite the famous "dancing about architecture" quote I think that telling about music is important, especially these days when we have a real flood of information and art in so many forms. Not simply sharing, but making an effort of understanding, doing some analysis but not to deep because it quickly gets boring when there is to much ratio in the process. I like things intuitive, playful, creative, hence the music genres I prefer these days — webpunk & ambient, vaporwave & noise, academic minimalism and raw drone metal — virtually anything can be as interesting, inspiring and boring as well, depending on artist, context and your current mood. Yet music is the best mood setter, way better than any drugs, emotions, hormones or psychedelic substances.

I believe that music is the most powerful aspect of art — simply because it doesn't have "a body", it's always fluent, even when it's recorded and played back. Music has the ability to change our minds and our realities.

For years I listened to music, played it, wrote reviews and promoted artists and I continue to do it. I run two small, as they call it "bedroom" music labels — ΠΑΝΘΕΟΝ Records (https://pantheophania.bandcamp.com) which focuses or ambient and meditative drone music in handmade physical editions of tapes and CD's and Global Pattern (https://globalpattern.bandcamp.com) — vaporwave cassette tape label with strong post-internet aesthetics. Yes, cassettes are cool again! (actually they always were, huh) and in the future posts I plan to tell why. I'm going to tell about my activities more, but not (only) for self-promo but for those who may find it useful to learn from my experience. Also, I'm really into handmade art, D.I.Y. culture, independent music scene, so I'm going to babble about it a lot. In my future posts you'll probably find lots of things to contemplate if you are an artist who just started or looking for ways to promote yourself, if you run a small label or blog, if you're into D.I.Y. and handcrafted stuff...

I'm going to share some thoughts and experience which may be helpful for anyone who wants to be an independent in its own ways. I hope to find like-minded people, but even considering everything mentioned above, my interests are not limited to music and you'll know about it as well :) Hope it's going to be fun, because this is the nice new platform recommended to me by a friend and I'm looking to explore its capabilities!
