Hi everybody!

Been following the cryptocurrency scene since 2012, but I never really got into it as I live in a country where it's difficult to purchase crypto.
In the last 3 months though, I purchased some bitcoins and I diversified my portfolio greatly. I'm a Computer Science student so my goal is to invest based on the tech behind the coin. In the last month it has been crazy. I've made over 500% gains. In fact, for a recent class project, I wrote a DAPP for ethereum as a way for rural farmers to govern, collect taxes and maintain land rights.

I use reddit but I've never really looked into steemit. This platform seems really interesting and In the next few days I'll definitely be dedicating a couple hours really understanding the nitty gritty details of the platform.

It's going to be a wild ride in the comming months and I hope I can share it with you guys at steemit.

Hi! I will read your posts... i am also trying to invest in cryptocurrencies... do you have any advice?

Hi!
I would say right now there is a lot of easy money floating around the ecosystem. Kind of like internet companies in 1998. In the timeframe of 1-6 months, you can't really go wrong as most coins will increase in value. (Including Bitcoin)

However, in the timeframe of 1-5 years which is what I am targeting. It would be the technology and competence of the developers. Definitely read the whitepapers and play around with the technology.

Congratulations @tomato721! You received a personal award!
