I Left Steemit for 1 YEAR only to Come Back and Find THOUSANDS in my Wallet - My Story and Why I'm Back

For those of you out there that have been around Steemit a while, well, you probably don't remember me - but I was here.

I started Steeming back in March of 2016 thanks to the recommendation of @stellabelle, who you've probably heard of. We worked together in a former writing gig, and she convinced me to take my writing and content over to Steemit. Long story short, I loved it. I loved Steemit for what it provided me as a content producer and a writer and as someone who wanted to reach a greater audience.

I was good at it too.

I quickly doubled my monthly earnings through Steemit and was greatly evaluating making a full time job out of producing content for Steemit. Like many, the hype had hit me hard and I was all behind this innovative new platform that rewarded creators. I got fully behind Steemit and then something happened, I got a job offer.

I got a job offer that shattered my expectations for what I could make doing what I do, writing and content producing. I got a job offer from Autodesk, a huge engineering software company, and I had to take it.

This was an enormous opportunity for me, but unfortunately, it meant my time for Steeming would have to go away.

So, I worked away at my new job and was loving life. I decided I would slowly trickle out all of my Steem from Steemit and make a few bucks here and there. This is likely what many who have left the platform did. Then, I really forgot about Steemit.

It's been a few months since I've even checked my account, but I decided to log back in. I found my account value to have skyrocketed, all thanks to the recent price increases in STEEM. It's a nice surprise when you find thousands of dollars you never knew you had.

Long story short, this revitalized my creative drive for STEEM, and I've decided to come back swinging. I still have my regular job, but I miss this platform and I miss what it brings creators. I've got some catching up to do on the changes around here, but I'm ready.

So, I'm back and ready for the ride.
