#introduceyourself - Hey Steemit!

Hey Steemit Community!

I'm Liam.

^ That's me ^ (I took this for an art assignment a while back, it's that cringy - I know).

I'm kinda new to introductory posts on platforms such as Steemit. This will probably be a kerfuffle of general random information about myself, please bear with me :D .

As you can probably see, I'm from Sydney, Australia. It's a pretty nice city (but then again, isn't everyone biased to their own hometown?) and I love living here. The thing I love the most about Australia is probably it's multiculturalism. It is so diverse, with many, many cultures grounding their roots. Some cultural centres such as Chatswood are amazing to walk through, an organised jumble of Asian cultures, each storefront revealing a little snippet of their culture.
I'm of 2nd generation Indian descent, although I'm really only half Indian as my father is "Australian". To be honest, though, I'm pretty westernised and have no distinguishable accents. This doesn't mean that I don't enjoy eating the food of my country, though...

Anyway, I came to Steemit via a good friend of mine, @junu944 (you should check out some of his stuff). I've always had an interest in cryptocurrency, starting with Bitcoin in around 2015, making a few satoshi here and there with faucets. I found the idea of Steemit very interesting and well, here I am now.

I'm very much a computer person. I love pulling things apart and putting them together again. There's always something I'm working on as a project, sometimes with something as small as an Arduino, sometimes as big as putting an entire server together.
I'm a part of the PC Master Race, but always find myself coming back to Nintendo, the childhood friend of consoles.
I'm also very interested in aircraft and aviation. Although I'm more of a fan of the commercial side of things, anything aviation really interests me, especially PC Flight Simulation.

I also really like learning languages. Even though I was never taught my mother's native tongue of ಕನ್ನಡ (or Kannada, I think that's how you anglicise it), I've always wanted to learn languages to engage with people all over the world. I'm currently learning German as a part of my school education, I'm finding it pretty good. You can see it in my display name, "vielleicht". Jedoch, Deutsch ist eine gute Sprache und es macht viel Spaß.

But that's enough about me. I'm very excited to get to know the Steemit community as the idea of Steemit as a whole grows. I'll make an effort to post regularly and I hope that we can get to know each other!

Thanks for reading and I hope that you have a great day!
