My first post - My philosophy: It costs nothing to be nice
Hey Steemians! I'm Vikki, and I recently joined Steemit because I love the interaction aspect of the platform, and I recently got into the cryptocurrency game, so the Steem would be nice too :)
I work in the corporate world by day, for a Fortune 50 insurance company, and outside of that I do a lot of freelancing work - creating websites, content marketing, ghostwriting, that kind of stuff.
I'm ready to admit that there are a lot of things that drive me crazy. Profiling, bad spelling and grammar, judgy people, mean people, and 99% of the things that are posted on Facebook (do your research, folks! Stop perpetuating the bullshit). People who believe that Bill Gates is going to give them a laptop, or GMC is giving away SUVs, and post "It's probably not real but just in case ..." and those who share the "90% of my friends probably won't care, but ..." are likely to not remain my friends for very long, because there is a limit how long I can tolerate stupidity, but my "be nice" philosophy gets pushed to the limits and I may just snap.

I'm British by birth, but left the UK when I was about 20, spent 17 years in Australia, and now I'm in the US, living in the middle of the world's biggest cornfield.
Yeah. This philosphy of being nice - I don't like to debate, so I rarely discuss politics or religion (which can get difficult when you consider what the hell is going on in US politics right now), but I have no problem letting my opinion be known. So, essentially that means let me express my thoughts, but don't try to argue with me about them. I'll just shut down and you won't get a reply. I don't believe I have to defend my opinion. It's mine, right? You're entitled to your, too!

Ha! I used to love that lemmings game! Can you believe how far video games have come since then?
Yeah the music was great. Marching to probable doom to the tune of the Can-Can or 'How Much Is That Doggy In The Window':)) Visually videogames have evolved tremendously but games with good play mechanics stand the test of time, and Lemmings is a fine example of that. In fact, it may even play better on a tablet's touchscreen. Somebody should resurrect it!
