Introducing My Self: Wife, Mama, Witch, and more
Hello SteemIt!
My cousin turned me onto this site and since I have a background in blogging, I figured it would be a good experiment to see if this is a good fit.
As the title of this intro suggests - I am a wife and mother. I've been happily attached to my husband since 2008, spiritually handfasted Ostara 2009, and legally wed Mabon 2010. After a miscarriage in 2013, I had my rainbow child in 2015.
My life so far has been pretty adventurous. I've lived in a few different states including Kentucky, Tennessee, Washington, and Alaska.
During this time, I've worked as a professional tarot reader, guide, and witch. I've worked at Renaissance fairs and festivals, various occult and craft shops, and cafes. Now I teach classes and speak at Pagan, Witchcraft, and New Age festivals and events when I'm not writing and working from home.
In 2017 I was published in a few Pagan anthologies including Every Day Magic: A Pagan Book of Days by Moon Books.
June 2017 I created my business website www.StartWitchin.com through which I share my free ebook Spell Check: StartWitchin Guide to Why Your Spells Fail and How to Make Them Work.
This year I am publishing my first nonfiction book, Coming Out of the Broom Closet in May.
My family and I are settling down in TN now and looking to build a permaculture homestead. We will also be homeschooling our little one when he's old enough. As we prepare, I am developing skills such as scratch cooking and baking, gardening, canning and preserving food, and reading up on Waldorf and Biodynamics.
For SteemIt I'll be sharing blog posts about magick, manifesting, our homestead journey, kitchen witchery - recipes, and more.
I look forward to connecting with you all and learning more.
