Hi Steemit!! I QUIT MY JOB TO TRAVEL THE WORLD !! First Post (Ahhhhh) #introduceyourself

Hello Everyone, :) I am a newbie here and after joining steemit almost two weeks ago, I have finally decided to introduce myself to the @steemit community . My name is Shashi and I live in London but I'm originally from Srilanka. Traveller by heart but I was a Travel agent by profession and yes it came with its own perks . Nevertheless there was not a single day that I wasn't secretly wishing that I'd win the big jackpot so that I can quit my office job and travel full time. I've always been a bit of a Nomad since I was a teenager and travelling has been the biggest passion in my life. It could be something as simple as quick trip to the next town,I was always thrilled with the excitement. And when it came to the point that I started question about my own sanity and not living the life I've always imagined , I've finally manage to pluck up the courage to say bye-bye to my 10 plus years of career in the travel trade to do my first, a month long backpacking trip to Europe in the summer last year. when I look back , quitting my job was the bravest and also the best thing I've ever done in my life . when People ask me if I ever regret my decision , I'd always say that there's nothing I'd been more sure about. it has given me an abundance of happiness and freedom that big bucks can't buy.

Now I can pick up my sticks whenever I want. I just love getting myself out and about and exploring the world feeling lucky to live on a planet with such an amazing diversity of
People, landscape, culture, history and all those beautiful places to experience. For me it didn’t matter how adverse, weird or crazy the weather is or was, it’ was all about the thrill of being there, running about in the rain, sunning it up on the beautiful beach or sitting out all snug under a brightly lit star filled sky...I would rather see it as it is than dream of it…I had to be there, I needed that. My soul was literally trying to get out and venture in the outdoor, breathe in the air, from the highways leading out of the cities; my feet craving to feel the earth beneath and my heart to beat an extra beat just thinking I'm just about to reach my new destination! :D

I'm currently working on my own travel blog and I'd love to take you with me on my journey around the world. may it be sitting on a beach in the Greek Islands and watch the sun set into the Aegean Sea, or going on the most scenic train ride through the beautiful country side in Sri Lanka, it would be my absolute pleasure.

I'm also a huge foodie and I promise not to tempt you with my new found love for the Vegan food with a twist of Sri Lankan flavours . And I'd love to share with you the thoughts and experiences I had while trying to adopt a minimalist life style .
And I'd also like to thank my friend @viog37 for introducing me to the both @cryptocurrency and @steemit platform. Without his constant encouragement ( annoyance :p) I wouldn't have been able to join this community.
