Introducing myself...

Hi, I’m AsteroidMan by handle. In meatspace I prefer to remain anonymous since I am somewhat of a public figure and don’t want to confuse that reality with what I am interested in and have to say here. So AsteroidMan it will have to be.

My interests are space in general, human spaceflight and asteroids a bit more specifically. But space science, from cosmology to orbital dynamics to technology are really of general interest.

Astronomy & astrophysics are clearly related interests as well.

All of this interest in space stuff started when I was a little kid reading about and tracking the related subjects since before there were satellites. So it’s been a long and fascinating trail from the early fantasies of Tsiolkovsky, Goddard, and Oberth through the science/human programs of today to the dreams of Elon Musk and others of tomorrow.

Other interests are environment, energy, politics, and dabbling in philosophy.

What’s left? Who knows… maybe something of yours!
