My Early Entrepreneurial Activities

Hi everybody, my name is Matt and I'm thrilled to be a part of the Steemit community. I have always embraced the amazing entrepreneurial opportunities the Internet has offered, and Steemit appears to be one of the best. My roots go as far back to the early days of the Internet, and I have done a lot along the way. For example, as far back as the year 2000 I was earning money online as a teenager from unconventional methods including installing advertising viewbars and playing games for cash.

Since then, I have participated in a number of other methods including blogging, trading stocks, rating Google search results, taking surveys, writing articles, writing ebooks, and the list goes on.

Fully Embracing the Crypto World

Today, I have entered the crypto currency world from several angles. I made my first purchase of Ethereum today, deposited funds into an ICO, and registered with the Steemit community. Time to put up or shut up, because I have been preaching cryptos for the past year!

Steemit is the Best Social Content Sharing Site Ever

I have written hundreds of articles for content sites such as Examiner.com and eHow. For those of you who don't know, those sites were popular just 5-7 years ago and most authors received pennies and a few dollars for their efforts. I have always envisioned a social media site that rewards writers and users of the site who comment on post. Most websites have failed to create a business model and be successful at rewarding all users of the website. Steemit is not only succeeding, but writers and users are being rewarded handsomely for their efforts. I am stunned to see some writers earnings hundreds and even thousands of dollars for a single post. What a great place to be!

Steemit is Taking Society in the Right Direction

I'm a big picture strategic kind of thinker and Steemit offers so much potential to the world. I foresee a future world free of fiat currency and meaningless jobs. I believe society will one day reward its community members for their every day activities, especially ones that add value to the society. For example, an artist having the time and means to create art work and express humanity, a writer sharing insights and knowledge and being compensated accordingly, and many other skills that most don't get the opportunity to fully realize in their daily lives. Steemit is at the forefront of this revolution offering writers the chance to share knowledge and connect with others while being compensated based on their contribution.

My True Joy in Life is My Son

Some people ask me what I like to do, and I find it a difficult question to answer. I don't find much value in tv programming, or keeping up with reality stars, or watching sports. Although, I do enjoy lifting weights and running, but it is more about maintaining a healthy life style. What do I really like to do? Anything that makes my son happy. My biggest joy in life is seeing my 2 year old son smile, and teaching him new things. There is no other joy like it in the world.

Learner and Strategic Thinker

When I am not busy with my son, my brain goes back into learning, strategic, analytical mode. I love to analyze and challenge my brain. For example, I have spent more than a decade analyzing stock charts and spotting buying/selling opportunities. The stock market is a daily puzzle, and it is fascinating to have the opportunity to analyze it each day.

I have been aware of Bitcoin for several years, but never made a purchase even though I realized the huge potential. I was a bit blind to the fact that many other crypto currencies will flourish in the coming years. This is all reminiscent of the late 90s internet stock craze. I don't want to be rich, but I plan to be part of this revolution and contribute using my abilities.

What I plan to Share with My Fellow Steemit Friends

I can share knowledge and plan to add value to my fellow Steemit friends, by analyzing potential investments in upcoming ICOs, uncovering the next crypto trading opportunity, and hopefully transferring my years of stock chart analysis to crypto charts. Most importantly, I look forward to sharing knowledge, learning, and furthering the human connection with the Steemit community.
