Introduction: I am yomee

Hi Steemians. My name is Yomee Denise, and I am of Cape Verdian and Nigerian heritage ; my father is Nigerian, while my mom is Cape Verdian. My big brother introduced me to this community. I was born in Praia the capital of Cape Verde, but my family relocated to Nigeria when I was two years old and we have never returned. So my memories of Cape Verde is non-existent. I am currently studying fine arts at the university of Port Harcourt in Rivers State Nigeria.

I love writing short poems, listening to music, if I can afford it sometimes binging on Netflix and also adoring the world’s greatest footballer (in my opinion) Lionel Messi; yeah, I’m a fan of football club Barcelona. Lately, I have been learning Portuguese as I plan a trip to the other half of my heritage Cape Verde. I recently took up photography as a hobby, and I plan to capture the beauty of Cape Verde with my lens.

I am crazy in love with the arts and I think someday I will begin to collect art works as a passion. I just began saving up for a trip to the Louvre in Paris, I do not know how long it will take me, but I know I will make the trip.

So I think you have got a picture of me in this short post. I hope to share with you my knowledge of the arts, my passion of photography and when I do make the trip, the beauty of Cape Verde and in the nearest future (the Louvre).
