My Introductory Post: The arrival of a budding writer to Steemit

I heard about Steemit from a group of friends in school. And of course, as expected among university students, the main driving force was to make money. I mean, the rationale behind it was: We've been writing a lot of irrelevant crap in school for grades, why not write for money?

Seasoned Steemians, I have to ask: Is Steemit all about the money? Or is there more to these?

I saw a post about Elon Musk that garnered over a $1,000. I was instantly hooked!

Anyway, let me talk about myself. My name is Uwemedimo Usa. Yes, Usa. Not the United States of America, Usa. I am a Petroleum Engineering student at the University of Uyo, Nigeria.

Before Steemit, I've been writing for a long time. On Quora, Facebook, Upwork, etc. Does Twitter count?

I hope to get immersed in this experience and have fun while at it.
