How to Peel 5 Hardboiled Eggs in 10 Seconds!

in #invention7 years ago

This is a new invention my dad just created so I thought I would post it and put the word out. He's worked tirelessly these past three years to take it from concept to market and now the launch date is almost here! I'm super proud of him for following his dream and doing what it takes to make this happen. So here it is, The Egg Stripper!

Sort:

Would anything ever get invented if it weren't for dads and garden sheds??? Love this concept (and more importantly realisation) :)

I know right! When he first told me I just thought it was another of his crazy invention ideas, but he pursued and once I saw the prototype in action I knew he was on to something special. It makes me wonder, how many inventions are just sitting idle in people's minds? They have the concept, but not the time, money, or drive to make it into a reality. And after hearing how much goes into bring a product from concept to market, I think the inventor has to really believe in their idea to do what's necessary to make it happen. Either that or be a little crazy ;)

I'm sure a similar thing could be devised for deskinning garlic....I'm sure I saw something similar using a jar...but when I did it it didn't work. Maybe that could be his next project.

My dad once spent a summer collecting beer cans with the idea to make an airplane that flies over water just using the refracted air (or something like that). He never did get round to it (maybe it was just an excuse to have a load of BBQs), but later in a documentary we saw that the USSR had come up with the same concept and made proper big airplanes that used the technology, so he had been on to something. He also installed a maze of metal vanes behind a fireplace in an extension we got built, had something to do with circulating warm air to het the house, but as with the beer cans he never quite got round to finishing it to get it working. I always thought it a mystery the space hidden in the middle of that house.

I guess for every dad with a great idea who pulls it through to fruition there's another 20 dads with equally great ideas who just let life get in the way of their childhood dreams of being successful crazy inventors.

That's really cool, sounds like he was working on some pretty ambitious projects. Would love to see that beer can pane in action! Definitely takes a lot to bring an idea into reality; especially working out all the kinks along the way. Makes you think how many great ideas go unrealized...

That's really cool. Give your dad a high five for me. :)

When I boil my eggs I put them inside of my electric pressure cooker to boil for 5 minutes. Once they`re boiled you just run them under the cold water for 5 seconds, then tap the edge of the boiled egg with a teaspoon and the eggshell will just peel off instantly with your fingers.

Yeah I guess the only downside to that is only being able to do one at a time vs five at once.

Indeed I only usually make 3 at time. Eat more than that be like you have been eating baked beans you`ll just have a stomach full of gas.

Ha very true. However it’s good to do a big batch at once that you can then store in the fridge for the rest of the week. Or if your making a dish like deviled eggs

I prefer having my boiled eggs when they are still boiled warm from the electric pressure cooker. I`m not really into eating eggs that have been stored in a fridge for a couple of days.

This is so cool! Your dad is a genius! You must be very proud of him...

I'm super proud of him. He's found something he's really passionate about and has put it all on the line to follow his dream. It's amazing the amount of work he's put in while still working a very demanding corporate job. It's exciting that the time is almost here for this product to hit the market.
