On October 24th, 2008 Many stock exchanges worldwide suffer the steepest declines in their histories; the day becomes known as "Bloody Friday."

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell a whopping 777.68 points in intra-trading day. This was largest in history until 2018. It plummeted because Congress rejected the bank bailout bill.dija-2008_weekly.png
