My Crypto Journey and thoughts on Investing.

How many of us have thought "had I just invested in Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Netflix, Facebook, etc. and just held for the long run, I would have made so much money!"

My entire life I've wanted to make my money work for me. I think this is the beginning of a great time for us all. The mere fact that you are on Steemit, tells me you're aware of this trend we are seeing towards something big!

Cryptocurrency, blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and the internet of things! These are all emerging technologies that will disrupt entire industries, but how do we make money??

You can become a contact provider for a site like Steemit, or maybe you can dump your life savings in bitcoin. Perhaps you can buy a bunch of alt coins and wait for one to make it big. The truth is, there is tons of potential, but you have to be careful not to let the hype overwhelm you.

I think my strategy is to invest only what I am willing to lose. Do independent research on all cryptocurrencies that you wish to invest in. This means read the WHITE PAPER first, then go to Steemit, reddit, youtube, etc. for second opinions and see what the community is saying about each one.

Another helpful tip is find like minded people. Join local meet ups, get your friends interested, the more minds you have working together the easier it is to find information and learn.

Read books too. Depending on how new you are to the community. The first book I read that really opened my eyes, believe it or not, was "Blockchain for Dummies".

Realize though, you won't become an expert overnight. If it's hard at first don't be discouraged. If this is something that interests you, keep at it.

P.S. Something I think is really cool is ETF's that track these industries. For long term investing, I'd recommend looking into Artificial Intelligence and Fintech ETF's. These industries will be the future!
