Investments, risks and growing wealth - Part 1

in #investment7 years ago (edited)

Towards the end of the first quarter of 2018, I realised stagnation in my income and an impending loss of excitement withthe way things were.. a one source income.. a salaried nightmare with just above inflation growth meaning I was more likely getting poorer. I couldn’t easily change my job because after all I was an expat, I had restrictions. I thought to myself.. how do I tilt even by one degree my direction to generate income from multiple sources and grow wealth for myself.

Unlucky for me, I was found by sharks, who were only bent on making me loose my money. In fact you could say there’re white collar thieves. I got involved in the binary trading fiasco. I did not know this when I was first found by one of these sharks, they said they were financial gods at least that’s what I heard and I invested thousands with them. More on that later.

I went on searching for more opportunities where I could make more money while continuing my current income stream, straight away online and by virtue of hearing a few people I know talk g about forex and CFD trading, I quickly registered on a trading site, or should I say I requested for information to learn about trading and they cajoled me into registering.. I started with a modest amount... but within a couple of months, my account manager who’s sole purpose I discovered later was to get me to put all my salary and incoming savings in the company’s trading accounts, made me deposit thousands into the account while offering me trading training.. the training wasn’t awful... but for a new trader... emotions are the downfall and I will advise never trade big in the first 6-9 months and never deposit big amounts at the start. Your emotions go into over ride when you see a big red, while experience will largely take this away.

I lost big by listening, I may have not if I also listened to a long term hold advice of the commodities (CRUDE OIL was a huge one). All in all, I learnt and I lost and I continued onto other platforms until I discovered that forex trading wouldn’t take me to that regular stream of income as I didn’t have the aptitude to day trade

The next one was investing in a trader.. a forex and commodities trader.. was told this guy had been making money for several months for people. Offered a 10% monthly return! I was wow! That’s me getting back my money in 11 months.. I dived straight in with a couple thousand.. within 2 months, it was a farce. Never got past the first month return and till today little hope of getting anymore. Still chasing.

Will continue in part 2
