IOTA joins Huawei, Bosch and IBM as Eclipse board members

The cooperation between the IOTA Foundation and the Eclipse Foundation will be further expanded. IOTA announced that Dr. Navin Ramachandran joined the board of directors of the Eclipse Foundation. Together with Oracle, Huawei, Fujitsu, Bosch and other globally known companies, IOTA is now also on the board and has a say.

In February, the IOTA Foundation, together with the Eclipse Foundation and strategic partners, founded the Tangle EE working group. The Tangle EE working group includes the following 15 prominent companies and educational institutions: Dell Technologies, STMicroelectronics, Software AG, Object Management Group, accessec, Energinet, BiiLabs, Calypso Network Association, ENGIE Lab CRIGEN, RWTH Aachen, AKITA, Geometric Energy Corporation, TMForum, Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and IoTIFY.

IOTA participation on the board of the Eclipse Foundation

According to the official announcement, Dr. Navin Ramachandran IOTA represented on the board of the Eclipse Foundation. Dr. Navin Ramachandran is a medical doctor and has been a member of the IOTA Foundation since 2016. At IOTA, he led the eHealth activities and was also responsible for monitoring the development of the Trinity wallet. Navin has also been a member of the IOTA board since November 2019.

The Eclipse project was launched in 2001 by technology giant IBM. Today, around 300 members work on the development of open source software for business applications. The Eclipse Foundation, which is based in Canada and currently manages and manages around 375 open source projects, was founded 3 years after its foundation.
