If you think of companies as having an identical trajectory to a plant development, beginning with seed level to growth, getting an initial public offering (IPO) is similar to getting fruits on your crops. It holds companies to an increased standard of accountability -- for financial disclosure, planning and providing to plan, and even tactical planning.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to bore you with the ‘How tos’ and ‘to-dos’. Today, I’ll just point out the biggest IPOs of 2017 (Without being Judgemental)

Here are the top 5 IPO’s of 2017

Startups that stood out for their capital efficiency generally hailed from the tech sector. I’ve measured them using a valuation to invested capital ratio.

Valuation to Invested Ratio (VIC) = Post Exit Valuation divided by the total funds raised (Venture + Seed)
