Bitcoin prices have risen slightly this morning as the cryptocurrency market push up into the green again.
A small bull run saw BTC prices rise by 1.21 percent on Saturday.
Bitcoin is trading at $7,655.82 as of 9.30am today. The rest of the cryptocurrency market is posting positive results too, with Ethereum trading at $587.43, Ripple going for $0.633658 and Litecoin for $122.10.
The cryptocurrency market has been steadily rising in recent weeks, with many analysts suggesting that prices could double by the end of 2018. Bitcoin has been improving on its dismal start to 2018.
The cryptocurrency market plummeted from its dizzying heights in 2017, losing more than half the total market cap in Q3.
However, the market has stabilised in the rest of the year, posting positive charts on a weekly basis.
Prices are flying this weekend to $7,655 a coin, making it worth as much as the world’s most valuable banknote.Despite being more than half the price of its 2017 peak, bitcoin has equaled the value of the largest banknote in circulation in Brunei.
The note is valued at B$10,000, which is valued at roughly US $7,482.
The legal tender, which features a portrait of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, was issued in 2006, and can be used in Brunei and Singapore.
With BTC prices equalling the largest note value in the world, many crypto advocates have pointed to the legitimacy of the digital coin. Express. Home of the Daily and Sunday Express.express_logo

Many expert traders and analysts have predicted that 2018 will be a year in which bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market could more than triple in its current price.
Tim Draper, the crypto millionaire and venture capitalist, has said that fiat currency usage will be a “laughable anachronism” in under five years.
Indeed, Fundstrat CEO Tom Lee predicted bitcoin value could exceed $25,000 by the end of 2018.
Fundstrat, a New York-based hedge fund firm, has been a crypto giant in the investment world and is one of many successful Wall Street companies have started to dip their toes in cryptocurrency investment.
Large banks like Santander and card services like Master Card have decided to invest in Ripple, while Amazon, one of the biggest companies in the world, is rumoured to be looking into cryptocurrency investment.
With all these new investment opportunities from around the world, it is easy to see how bitcoin could increase its value exponentially in the coming years.
