Israel Enraged: Entire Iran Within Striking Range, U.S. Remarks Raise ConcernssteemCreated with Sketch.

After enduring a fierce attack of approximately 200 Iranian missiles, Israel, now enraged, is threatening to launch a retaliatory action against Iran soon. According to relevant reports, the Israeli military seems to have started viewing Iran's strategic facilities, such as oil infrastructure, as potential targets. There are even claims that Iran's nuclear facilities have also come into Israel’s sights.

Iran, on the other hand, claims it is prepared to respond if its nuclear facilities are attacked. Tehran has also warned Israel that if there is a retaliation, Iran will "strike back doubly." Furthermore, Iran ridiculed Israel’s "Iron Dome," suggesting that such defense systems are as fragile as decorative vases.

In reality, the Israeli military possesses the capability to strike throughout Iran’s territory, but this capability comes with certain conditions. For example, if Israel uses air power, it would need intermediary platforms for refueling or the support of U.S. refueling planes. However, given the concerns that the U.S., Saudi Arabia, and other countries have regarding an attack on Iran, it is unlikely Israel will choose this option. Therefore, Russian experts believe that Israel’s ability to retaliate against Iran via air strikes is limited.

However, Israel has another trump card: its long-serving Jericho missile series, including Jericho-1, Jericho-2, and Jericho-3, which were developed in different periods. The Jericho-3 long-range ballistic missile has the farthest strike range, reaching over 10,000 kilometers. To strike targets across Iran, Israel would only need a range of a few thousand kilometers, making the Jericho-3 fully capable of targeting all of Iran. If Iran uses missiles to attack Israel, it could trigger Israel’s missile retaliation.

Another key issue is that Israel is believed to be a nuclear power, potentially possessing a considerable number of nuclear warheads. The Jericho-3 has a payload capacity of up to 1,000 kilograms, enough to carry 2 to 3 small nuclear warheads. While Israel is very secretive about its nuclear weapons and is unlikely to easily reveal them, Iran cannot afford to ignore this possibility.

Moreover, after learning that Israel might attack Iran's nuclear facilities, the U.S.'s stance has been rather odd. On the surface, the White House has refused to support such actions by the Israeli military, but at the same time, the U.S. also believes that Israel "has the right to retaliate." This is a very subtle position. The extent to which the U.S. has given Israel a green light is a big question. In reality, the U.S. has long been indulgent toward Israel, so its attitude may very well determine the means by which Israel will carry out its retaliation.
