Do you meet the requirements for this job?

As everyone knows programming is evolving into new heights every single day. More and more complex goals are being achieved using more simple ways than ever imagined before.

The Internet of Things is a rising trend which would simply translate the world into a wired up reality that could shift our lifestyle quickly and force 'everyone' to adapt. Everyone, even programmers and IT specialists, are loosing themself int the shifts of popular and required languages and trends that a job giver would assume from them. Many exaggerate the situation with showing us newer and 'better' technologies to use in comparison to older ones and everyone keeps pretending that they are right.

Little side story:
My friend works and a small IT company in Bosnia which has an employee whose only task is to manage and work with Joomla websites, I mean, who still uses Joomla?

The market is big and full of opportunity and even if you are using an outdated technology chances are big that there are still people who swear by Joomla and would never betray .NET 2.0.

Always attempt to have knowledge in all fields but niche down to one and be good in it and you will do just fine. Follow trends, don't leave them out, but only if you can use the new trend to make your life more easy. Over the course of time choose another field and become good in it but connect it to your first field then your next can be in between the other two.

Programming languages and trends within the IT community come and go quickly. Many people are sensing the soon downfall of PHP while still 81% od the internet is built on it. Others are sensing the uprising of Ruby while no one exactly knows how to use it.

P.S Pun intended in the last paragraph.
