Weilá Steemers come state? Sapete chi è arrivata oggi a casa?
Blanchita da Malaga, in Spagna, passando per Cuneo.
È un cane di razza Podenco Andaluso, in Spagna lei e le sue sorelline rischiavano di essere soppressi assieme alla madre, fortunatamente ci sono associazioni che si occupano di trovare loro una casa. I 5 cuccioli sono stati tutti adottati, la madre non penso ma dovrebbe essere rimasta con la signora di Cuneo che ci ha dato Blanca, già possiede 5 levrieri.
Il Podenco è definita una razza primitiva, discesa direttamente dal dio egizio Anubi. I cani vengono utilizzati principalmente per la caccia alla lepre, dove sono molto bravi, hanno le zampe anteriori più sviluppate di quelle posteriori. Una particolarità che mi piace molto dei cani da caccia alla lepre è il fatto di non abbaiare spesso, questo perché le lepri sono molto attente ai rumori e bisogna essere molto silenziose se le si vuole avvicinare senza farle scappare, basta veramente poco e la preda è fuggita.
Blanca è definita un cucciolo toy, ho letto sul web che non tutti sono d'accordo sulla loro esistenza. Che cos'è un cucciolo toy? In pratica una femmina può essere ingravidata anche 2 volte, e il cucciolo toy è il risultato del secondo concepimento, per questo è il più piccolo della cucciolata.
Nonostante fosse la più piccolina Blanca ha tirato subito fuori il carattere, nei primi video che io ed Ale, la mia compagna, abbiamo visto Blanca mangiare e giocare con le sue sorelline e non era per nulla intimorita, era la prima a bere il latte dalla ciotola.

Blanca è arrivata per fare compagnia a Mina, una meticcia proveniente da Cagliari, che avevamo preso a Maggio, ora ha 7 mesi. Mina è molto brava, anche lei ha le zampe da cacciatrice di lepri ed abbaia poco, è veramente socievole con gli altri cani, di solito preferiva sottomettersi piuttosto che ringhiare, un po' di insicurezza anche derivata dall' essere cresciuta senza la mamma, sempre per lo stesso motivo era anche mordace ma senza mai fare chissà cosa viste le dimensioni ridotte.
È sempre stata molto cucciolosa, da quando è arrivata Blanca fa la cresciuta, anche la gelosa, ma si vede che è contenta del nuovo arrivo, in casa giocano molto e fuori anche con tutti i loro amici. Blanca per ora non sembra così socievole come Mina, non ha problemi a sgridare qualche cane che le si avvicina troppo, nonostante i poco più di due mesi di vita.
È da poco successo un episodio all'area cani dove andiamo di solito: c'erano alcuni cani tra cui un amstaff(American Staffoshire Terrier) femmina. Il padrone, un ragazzo, la teneva al guinzaglio anche dentro l'area per precauzione, vedendo Blanca ha dato uno strattone e si è liberata andando incontro a Blanca e Mina, c'era Ale. Mina si è messa in mezzo ringhiando con coraggio all' amstaff, che fortunatamente voleva solo annusare la cucciola, con la caratteristica irruenza di questi cani. Brava Mina, in altre occasioni saresti volata sulla panchina, invece hai protetto la tua sorellina.

Blanca is arrived
Hi Steemers how is going on? Do you know who is arrived today at home? Blanchita from Malaga, Spain, passing through Cuneo.
She's is thoroughbred Andalusian Podenco, Blanca and her sisters risked to get killed with their mother, thankfully there are some associations that deal with finding them an home to live. Five puppies were all adopted, I don't know anything about the mother, I hope that the woman living in Cuneo to keep the dog with her, she already has five greyhounds.
The Podenco is defined as a primitive race, descent directly by the ancient Egyptian god Anubis. These dogs are mainly used for the hunt for the rabbits, where they're really good, these dogs have the front legs more developed than the back legs. A peculiarity which I like of these hunting dogs is that they don't bark too much, just sometimes, because the rabbits are very carefully about the sound around them, the Podencos have to be very quiet if they want to pick them, just a little noise and the prey is escaped.
Blanca is defined as a toy puppy, I read on the web that some people is not agree about this definition. What is a toy puppy? A female dog can be impregnated even 2 times, the toy puppy is the result of the second conception.
Although she was the most little one Blanca comes up her character, in the first videos we've seen, Blanca ate and played with her sisters with no problem and not scared at all, she was the first to drink the milk from the bowl.

We have taken Blanca to keep company to Mina, a mixed-breed dog coming from Cagliari, Sardinia, we have taken her in May, now she is 7 months old. Mina is very nice, she have the same type of legs like Blanchita, for hunting rabbits and she barks very little. Mina is very social with all the world around her, she preferred to submit herself instead to growl the other dogs, some insecurity to grow up without the mom, for the same reason she was pretty biting, but so little to make some damage.
She has always been very warm, since Blanca arrived Mina is making the grown up dog, also jealous, but she is very happy about this new entry, they are playing a lot at home, and also out with their friends. At the moment Blanca is not so social as Mina, she doesn't have problem to shout at a dog getting too close, and she is only 2 months old.
It just happened an episode in the dogs area where we usually go: there were some dogs including afemale amstaff (American Staffoshire Terrier). The owner, a boy, kept the dog on a leash also inside the area as a precaution, when the amstaff sees Blanca she yanked make her free running to Blanca and Mina, Ale was there. Mina is got in the way growling against the other dog with brave, fortunately the amstaff wanted only to know the newcomer, with the characteristic impetuousness of these dogs. Good job Mina, you would be flew out on the bench in other occasions, instead you protected your little sister.
