Quali sono i mesi più belli dell’anno? Per me sono senza alcun dubbio quelli della primavera: aprile, maggio e giungo. È il periodo del risveglio e del primo caldo, della scuola che tira le somme e della natura che ci regala colori, profumi ed ahimè anche un pò di allergia.
Quando posso faccio visita al parco vicino a casa mia per godermi un cappuccino al bar posto accanto al laghetto e con me porto spesso la macchina fotografica. Il lago, o forse dovrei dire lo stagno, è pieno di vita. I pescatori mi dicono che si pescano carpe, tinche, anguille e pesci gatto che però in tipico stile britannico, vengono rimessi acqua dopo l’ebrezza della cattura.
Penso sempre che dovrei trovare il tempo per mettermi a pescare insieme a loro. “Prima o poi lo farò” mi dico.

Which are your favourite months of the year? Without any doubt I can say that mine are the months of Spring: April May and June. It’s when nature wakes up from the cold, grey and dull winter days and fills our parks and our countryside with blossom, bright colours, early long, warm days and, alas, some hay fever as well.
When I can I like to stroll in the park colse to my home. There's a cafe there, next to the park pond that serves excellent cappuccinos and is also good place to sit down people watch for a while. My camera is usually with me just to make sure I don't miss opportunities for some shots.
There’s plenty of life in the pond the fishermen tell me. There are carp, tench, catfish and eels to be caught if you know how. I stare at the rods and the floats in the water and catch myself thinking that I should find time to come along and have a go myself soon. Fishing has always been something I enjoy.

Anatre, cigni ed oche passeggiano sui prati attorno all’acqua. Qualcuno do loro accompagna i pulcini di una covata recente. I bimbi impazziscono alla vista dei piccoli e c'è sempre chi tra di loro non ascolta i moniti dei genitori e si avvicina troppo. C’è qualche momento di trambusto, una pizzicata, un bimbo spaventato che piange e che fugge: nulla di tragico.
Libellule e farfalla adornano i lati dello specchio d’acqua e svolazzano da un fiore all’altro presi dalle proprie faccende. Tra le foglie scorgo qualche lumaca ancora assonnata in attesa di non so bene cosa. I sentieri attorno al parco si intrecciano tra giardini curati e fiori dai colori accesi.
Ducks, geese and swans stroll on the manicured greens around the pond taking care of their young chicks. This never fails to attract unsuspecting toddlers that inevitably get too close. There’s a bit of a flurry, a scream, a running small kid and the flapping of wings. No harm done.
Dragonflies and butterflies hover from one flower to the next busy with their errands whilst on the foliage of low growing shrubs there are snails still half asleep or so they appear.
The paths in the park on a Saturday smell of freshly cut grass and the flowers by their sides in May are in full bloom with outstanding colours to admire.

La primavera mi porta sempre un senso di sollievo e di buon umore. I merli che cantano e le giornate che si allungano consegnano la promessa di una estate calda che verrà. Il 21 giugno è a due giorni di distanza: ci siamo. Grazie primavera per quel che hai fatto anche quest'anno!
Spring always brings me a sense of hope and optimism. Blackbirds sing, days get longer and there’s a promise of a hot summer holiday somewhere on it’s way. The Summer solstice is days away now. Thank you Spring for all that you bring me every year!

Anche a me la primavera piace moltissimo, per i suoi mille aspetti, ma soprattutto perché con i mesi di marzo ed aprile la vegetazione rifiorisce dopo il letargo invernale.
Fiori, foglie ed alberi crescono nuovamente.
Il tutto poi è più vivace soprattutto grazie alla flora: gli uccellini cinguettano la mattina e rendono le giornate più felici.

Ecco dov'è finito il germano padre della nidiata, non si trovava più!!
Scherzi a parte, anch'io preferisco la primavera alla piena estate, perché incomincia ad essere caldo ma non tantissimo, e le pioggie sono molto più frequenti a portare una ventata di gradevolissimo fresco.
