Simply mentioning the words "Italian Food" is enough to get your mouth watering. Pizza
No list of Italian food is complete without the mention of pizza. For years restaurateurs from all walks of life have traveled to Italy to learn its culinary traditions. There are essentially two types of pizza in Italy: There is the Neopolitan style pizza which has a bit of a thicker crust owing to the way in which the dough is rolled and there is also Roman-style pizza which is virtually paper-thin. Pasta
Of course, pasta is an Italian staple and we'll lump Lasagna, Carbonera and other types of pasta into the mix for the sake of time however other sites may choose to separate them. Rissotto
Rissotto, as many of you may know, is a creamy rice dish that can be made with just about anything from various meats to seafood. Rissotto is not quite as common as pasta (in Italy) thanks to the numerous carbs consumed but Italy is a major producer of rice which it then exports to the rest of Europe and beyond!
