The PANTHEON: where gods reside

in #italy7 years ago

The Roman Empire was an "open city." Very tollerant and welcome all forms of ideas, even religions. That's why this building is also called the church of the gods, where one can find all the altars of different gods during those times. The Pantheon is also called Agripa. During the Cristianistas Romana, this was transformed into a church, where the statues of the gods were replaced by the statues of the saints. Here also we can find the tomb of raffaello, the artist.
