There's a difference between a skilled 'western' worker and an illiterate from some third world country. The developed nations need people that can be taught a trade or skill. A huge portion of the world is simply too mentally challenged to be able to be taught anything but subsistence farming or other low intelligence tasks.

The world has been pumping money into certain nations for decades and there's little to show for it except huge families always with their hands out because they can barely feed their populations.

We could use more people with intelligence and an ability to advance. We could easily do with less of the other kind.
