Importance of Hand Washing Against Corona Virusウイルスに対する手洗いの重要性 - Learning English & Japanese

Today’s topic of learning English and Japanese is virus infection control. 今日のトピックは、ウイルス感染対策です。

コロナウイルス対策として、手洗いが効果的であると報告されています。手は、想像以上に様々な場所に触れています。想像しやすい例だと、電車の吊り革や階段の手すりなどがあります。感染者が咳をする時に、拡散しないように手で口を覆って咳をしたとします。すると、その人の手の表面にウイルスを含んだ飛沫が付着します。その手で、様々な場所を触り、そこに付着した飛沫が別の人の手に移ります。しかし、例え手に飛沫が付いたとしても口や鼻の粘膜を触る前に手洗いをすることで、ウイルス感染の確率を限りなく抑えることができます。石鹸を使って指の間まで洗い、よく水ですすぐことが重要です。手洗いは、コロナウイルスだけでなく、インフルエンザに対しても非常に効果的です。これを機に手洗いをする習慣を身にしけましょう。

In terms of corona virus infection control, it’s reported that hand washing is very effective. Your hands touch various things than you expected. For example that you can easily imagine, you touch straps of a train and rails of stairs. When infected person cough, the person covers his/her mouse with own hands not to spread viruses. And, droplets including viruses are attached on his/her hands. After that, many places are touched by the hands, and the droplets attached on the surface of various things will be transferred to other people hands by touching the things. But, if your hands get the droplets, hand washing before touching your mouse or lining of nose can reduce ratio of virus infection boundlessly. It’s important that wash your hands, especially between fingers, with soap and completely wash out with lots of water. Hands washing is very effective against not only corona virus but also flu. Let’s take this opportunity to develop a habit of washing hands.
