You have to forgive people, but I believe her attitude was right. Without knowing anything about you she immediately thought about protecting the hospital and herself. Small lapses in judgment and care can be catastrophic right now so I personally welcome the over abundance of caution. Although, like you and everyone here in Japan, Westerners need to wear masks.
