The three types of verbs

It is important to get familiar with the types of verbs you use, in order to conjugate them correctly. Below I have listed different verb types and the correct conjugations for each verb.

Type １ or ~う, verbs

Type 2 or ~る, verbs

Irregular verbs

Examples

一。　このコーラを飲んで下さい。
二。　この漢字を読んで下さい。
三。　カフェテリアに行って下さい。
四。　家に行って下さい。

一。　本屋へ行きました。そこで本を買いました。     ーー  I went to the bookstore. So I bought a book.

二。　漫画を少し読みました。          ーー　I read a little manga.

四。　晩御飯に天ぷらを食べました。　　　　　  ーー　I ate tempura for dinner.

五。　毎日午前七時半に学校へ行きます。　　　  ーー　I go to school every day at 7:30 am.
