V8 reaches version 6.0 but what does it really means?

Most popular JavaScript engine developed by The Chromium Project just reached version 6. It brings further speed improvements for the users (10% improvement in V8’s ARES-6 score.) and enables new features for programers (SharedArrayBuffers) that will allow to build even faster web apps and browser games. Is gaming in browsers around a corner?
