in #jazz4 years ago

"Akranania" (released in 2001) is the name of the second studio album produced by the Chilean band, Akinetón Retard. The original group from the city of Valparaiso is recognized for being one of the most advanced and original bands when it comes to avant-garde music and jazz rock. The band cultivates a powerful rock in opposition with influences from groups such as Magma, Henry Cow, Curlew, among others ... With "Akranania", the peculiar Chilean group Akineton Retard momentarily increased its format to that of a sextet, and incidentally, increased the level of sound energy of his musical proposal while remaining faithful to the artistic line started in his amazing debut work ... =)
