"Fictitious Sports by Nick Mason" (1981)

in #jazz4 years ago (edited)

"Fictitious Sports" (released on May 3, 1981) is the title of an album made by drummer (and Carla Bley ...) ex-Pink Floyd member Nick Mason. In the work, great artists of avant-garde music and progressive rock participated as members, of which we can mention: Carla Bley on keyboards and lyrics, Robert Wyatt on voices, Chris Spedding on guitar, Gary Windo on saxophones, among others. Musically speaking the album is oriented towards sounds and melodies from jazz rock, the canterbury scene and avant-garde music, making this work a brilliant, creative album worthy of being listened to a thousand times ... =)
