How Much Should Cannabis Cost?

in #jbo7 years ago

The reality is that best cannabis cosmetic products would contain 30-50% of cannabis oil by weight. That is 30-50g of the purest and most sedative cannabis extract in a 100g jar. To produce a gram of cannabis oil you need 4-10g of extra dry bud material. Therefore, you would need say 120-500g of dry flowers to produce a 100g jar of a salve, cream, sun lotion, etc.

Now, the question is - how much would you like to pay for a 100g jar of a cosmetic product?

Half a kilo of dried flowers from a field would cost about 1 to 2 euros/dollars. Half a kilo of "medical cannabis" (i.e. plants grown using state approved pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides) would cost you 2 to 3 or more thousand dollars. So, the same jar of cosmetics could cost two dollars or two thousand dollars.

And a jar of such cosmetics should be in every first aid kit, and in every household, and on every workplace, because sometimes seconds can mean a huge difference, for instance in cases of burns or injuries etc.

It is essential to get cannabis back on fields, I think. All it would take is removing the THC limits on "industrial hemp". That would make the whole difference. But somehow, the United Nations are unable to recognize this new trend and the emergency of the worldwide epidemics of cannabinoid-deficiency related illnesses, and somehow they prefer to keep the right to shoot a dealer at their convenience and let billions of people suffer from unnecessary pain. Only because of an outdated ideology and a wet dream of a "world without drugs." Which I think is kind of sad.

It's time to change it, my friends. And the time is now. We deserve it.
