Exam Pattern Dates Released by NTA
Dates have been released by the National Testing Agency. It is conducted in two parts i.e. paper 1 for B. E./B. Tech. and paper 2 for B.Arch/B.Planning. This exam is conducted through both modes (computer based and pen & paper based mode). Aspirants must have basic information about JEE Main exam pattern and its syllabus for making better preparation. Candidates should know that there are two papers in JEE Main. JEE Main 2019 Pre Exam Schedule
JEE Main application form will be released via online mode. Candidates are able to fill and submit the application form from 1st September 2018. Correction in uploaded images will be started from the month of September 2018. Last date to submit the fee will be 30th September 2018. Any correction in the application form will be done from the month of October 2018. The JEE Main admit card will be released in the month of December 2018. The authority also provide JEE Main Slot Booking facility. The JEE Main exam will be conducted on 6th – 20th January 2019 (Jan session) and 7th – 21st April 2019 (April session).
JEE Main 2019 Post Exam Schedule
After the successful completion of the exam, the answer key will be released within a week after the examination. The authority provide the results of JEE Main in the month of February 2019. The cut off will be released along with the result. After the result announcement, JEE Main 2019 counselling will be started from the 3rd week of June 2019.
JEE Main Exam Pattern
There are minor differences in the JEE Main paper 1 and paper 2.
Common rule: 4 marks will be granted to the candidate for the correct answer, but any wrong answer will lead to a deduction of 1 mark.
JEE Main paper1 (for B.E., B.Tech):
There will be a total of 90 questions, 30 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
The paper will be of 3 hours.
It will be an objective type question paper.
Students can give the paper either via offline mode or online mode.
JEE Main paper2 (for B. Arch, B. Planning):
Paper will consist of two parts:
Part 1- 30 questions from mathematics
Part 2- 50 question from the Aptitude test
And 2 question in drawing
Only the drawing part will be subjective, but the rest of the paper will be objective type.
The paper will be of 3 hours.
The paper will be available in offline mode only.
