JEE MAINS 2019 APPLICATION FORM AND ADMIT CARD

Joint Entrance Exam or JEE is an entrance exam conducted for students who are interested in pursuing career in fields of Electronics, Engineering, and Architecture & Planning. JEE is held in two phases.
The first phase is JEE Mains which is conducted for admission in NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs only. Furthermore, the Mains consist of 2 papers, i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Students can apply in either of these papers or in both. Paper 1 is specifically for admission in B.E. and B.Tech courses only. Paper 2 is conducted for admissions in B. Arch. and B. Planning. The students who have cleared the JEE Mains can appear in JEE Advance. Recently, it had been notified by the MHRD minister Prakash Javedkar that starting from 2019 JEE will be conducted by an autonomous government body known as NTA which was earlier undertaken by CBSE.

Application Form JEE Main 2019

JEE Main registration notification has been released. It is to be noted that registration procedure for JEE Mains 2019 will begin on 1st September and will end on 30th September. There will be an allowance for application correction which will be after the end date i.e. by October. JEE Exam will be held from 6th January to 20th January. Registration and issuance of Admit Card will be done online. Release date of admit card shall be notified later on.

JEE Main 2019 Application Form Requirements

In order to complete the procedure of application filling, the applicants are required to have the following:

1. For the application, the candidate will need his/her Aadhaar number and Aadhar Enrolment number (for those who have applied for Aadhar but yet to be received).
2. Though Aadhaar registration is exempted for candidates from J&K, Meghalaya, and Assam, they still have to register with valid ID proof such as valid passport number, valid ration card number, or any valid government issued ID.
3. The candidates will also need a valid email address and an active mobile number. This is for the reason that, many important details and information will be communicated to the candidate by the JEE and your email ID or phone number will be the medium.
4. Candidates will require a scanned image of recent photograph and a scanned specimen signature of the candidate as well as a scanned specimen signature of his/her parent/guardian.
   So that sums up all the things a candidate mandatorily need.

JEE Main 2019 Application Form Procedure

The steps involving application form fill up is briefed as follows:

1. Go to the website, i.e. https://www.nta.ac.in/
2. Register with your Aadhaar or other valid government issued ID number. You have to make sure that the Aadhar number is rightly entered and is in sync with your details in UIDAI.
3. Then you’ll need to fill in all the relevant details and information about yourself, just like you would on any regular form. Please make sure you fill the details correctly.
4. After that, recheck all the information again before submitting.
5. Then you must upload a scanned image of your recent photograph, scanned specimen signature, and scanned specimen signature of your parents/guardians.
6. All images should be .JEPG file and should be between size of 4kb to 40kb for recent photograph and 1kb to 30kb for both specimen signatures. Dimensions for scanned image of recent photograph has to be 3.5cm x 4.5cm and dimensions for both the specimen signatures should be 3.5cm x 1.5cm. Refer the table below:

Application Correction Facility JEE Main 2019

Now assuming the candidates have entered wrongful information and are past correction point, this would have been an issue and candidate could have even faced disqualification. To not let this happen, the JEE organizing team has allowed a one-time application correction facility. The candidates can correct all their details, if they like, for a small fee which will be disclosed later. It will be accessible after the end date of application form submission. Tentatively around October, the portal will be open for the candidates to recheck and correct their application one final time before the exam.

JEE Main 2019 Admit Card

The admit card issue date is yet to be announced. Candidates can download their admit card from the website itself by logging in with the registration number, date of birth, and password. Candidates must check if their admit cards have correct details and that it doesn’t have any errors or discrepancies. If it happens so, to be erroneous, then he/she must immediately contact the JEE authorities. If no error is noted, then take out a print and preferably laminate it just to keep it in a safe state. The candidate need to bring the admit card to the examination on the said date, along with a copy of valid ID proof. Inability to produce the admit card and ID proof during the examination is subject to disqualification.
