Pepecoin Lead Developer Promises to Continue Moving Project Forward Amid $15 Million ‘Criminal

in #jeolaslast year

The lead developer of controversial cryptocurrency project Pepecoin has vowed to keep the project moving forward despite criticism of its role in the community.

Last month, I covered how his Pepecoin raised over $15 million from investors with no guaranteed return on investment. Pepecoin's lead developer, known as Wesley, said he would share 30 percent of the money with investors. However, Wesley also announced that if an investor withdraws their funds from the Pepecoin website, they will give a portion of this money to all investors.

Wesley later said the offer only applies to those who have already withdrawn their funds by last Friday, August 14th, and only if they have personally emailed them before that date. clarified. Because of this, many investors felt forced to withdraw their money and compromise whatever percentage Wesley wanted.

However, Wesley was recently interviewed by Andrew Wagner of Bitcoin Magazine (who also published an article on the controversy today). In that interview, Wesley said he was determined to go ahead with the project despite the criticism.
