This is a helpful post. I had always wondered how automated applications worked, and how to catch the attention of the human resources person when you don't have an actual physical address to send to.

For understanding automatic applications, Google "ATS" and "Parser" "Search Engine".
ATS means Application Tracking Software
Parser is a tool that reduced your resume to relevant keywords, to be feed to the internal search engine.
