For this role we are seeking a software developer to build an application that continuously gathers news and information from the web and analyzes it to build out our financial knowledge base. This involves developing a high performance web crawler, coming up with efficient storage and versioning systems, and modifying JavaScript engines to operate on downloaded web content. In the process of developing these components, you will become intimately familiar with the business of proprietary trading, market making, and the various tools and methods used to analyze and forecast financial markets. No knowledge of finance is required.
