It's true, there are still people on the planet who don't know what a bitcoin is... There are still people on the planet who don't even have a laptop (my dear sister-in-law is one of them, bless her soul)...
Maybe they are more clever than the rest of us think we are.

My girlfriend is blond and i have on many times tried to explain bitcoin. I real don't think i should show her this joke as it might confuse her more

Hahaha! I know that feeling. I do know what it is, but to try and explain it to someone else is another story altogether. My friend who is nearly 70 also keeps asking, "so, what is a bitcoin exactly? What is a blockchain? What is a cloud?" and then I just shrug and say, "I don't know either" and that's it.
yep, I was trying to explain to her that steemit pays you to post in crypto and all she kept saying is whats crypto. so I gave up.
when I explain bitcoin to her, I tell her it is a way to keep your money from the tax man and the goverment and the bent banks that rob peter to pay paul. she nods her head.
I hope one day she can understand but I will not be holding my breath.
Well that's a very good explanation, I'll try it next time he asks me. Maybe, if it wasn't for my IT background (I'm an oldie MCSE), it would have been beyond my comprehension too. But then again, I am VERY weird as I read Popular Mechanics and like the workings of quantum computers, they fascinate me.
