Jordan MA2: Review after 60 days

in #jordan3 years ago

The Jordan MA2 is a casual shoe meant to sit by the door and wear on your way out to the trash or around the block. That said they've found their way back in the box for me, and yes they still look fairly new.
Why?
Well, as good as they look the cheap materials used can really be felt. I don't typically wear socks with my "by the door" shoes and as such I found the sole and upper uncomfortable on feet. The sole has small holes in it that you can really feel even when I was wearing socks it felt like I had micro balls beneath my feet. The upper was cool and the small patches of faux suede protected my toes and the outside of my foot. With socks on I had less of an issue with the upper, but I could still feel the uncomfortable sole.

I really like the way you can quickly slip them on with the two pull tabs one on the tongue and one on the heel. The lockdown was interesting, my foot never slipped out but my heel always felt loose. I can't explain it, my foot never slipped out of the shoe whether, I tied them or not, my foot remained firmly planted inside the Jordan MA2's.

When it came time to take them off my favorite feature of the shoe is the ejection pods on the back of the shoe. There are two colored, red on my shoes, pods that say eject on them where you can use the toe of one shoe to pull off the other shoe. I mean we've all done it, and with the Jordan MA2's kicking off your shoes has never been easier or faster.

Overall, I really like the Jordan MA2's. I think they accomplish the job they set out to do. They are the perfect "by the door" shoe. Why then are mine back in the box, and why do they look so new after 60 days of wear? The shoes are comfortable, but not the most comfortable shoes. The Jordan MA2's have style, but aren't the most stylish. Lastly, the Jordan MA2's are cheap, but at $130, its hard not to recommend better shoes at a cheaper price, for a pair of shoes meant to sit by the door.

In conclusion, if you like the style and find the fit comfortable, they're for you. The 200 Air sole is really comfortable, and perfect for all day walking or just chasing kids around for an hour. The fabric insole is uncomfortable and the $130 price tag makes the Jordan MA2's a tough recommendation for me. If you're looking for something you can kick around in with slight comfort I suggest a pair of low top Chuck 70's, Vans slip-ons with the light weight sole, or low top Jordan 1's. Those would all be better by the door options than these.
