New Shoes: Jordan MA2 30 Day Sneaker Diary

I got the shoes today.

I was really excited to get them and start doing this experiment. I had a choice of either the white in a nine and a half or the black in a nine. I prefer a snug fit on my sneakers so I went with the size nine in the black and red.

The shoe has a white sole which I wanted to be black and have already considered painting it black, but I'm not going to. The shoe looks good style wise, but comfort was not the best in the beginning. I tied my shoes tight like I usually do but the lock down on the ankle was not tight at all no matter how I pulled on the laces. My foot was firmly in the shoe though so I just went with it. Eventually that feeling went away, but the feeling that I have had since putting my feet into the shoe is the tiny bumps on the sole. It felt like it was sending a shock to my system when I first started wearing them.

I practically wore the shoes out of the store like a kid. The lady who helped me was really excited to help me I think she could feel my enthusiasm for the shoes. I powered through the pain and odd feels on my way to my families memorial day barbeque. The drive wasn't as smooth since there isn't that much ground/pedal feel through the shoes. Not a big deal but it took a few miles to get used to.

I was on my feet for about 4 hours at the barbeque. Helping out with the kids, taking photos, playing games, and talking smack with the OG's. I had fun, but I couldn't help, but notice my feet were hurting me. I kept questioning if I had chosen the right size. I'm sure I did since I have a narrow foot and my foot sits comfortable on the sole without going over instead of sitting inside with room to move laterally inside the larger shoe. The react cushion just isn't as soft as it's been in other shoes. I'm hoping this is just a break in period, and later in the week they'll give a little and become a touch softer in the sole.

When I got home, as I always do I took off my shoes and inspected them for hard stains. You know the stuff that needs to be treated right away. I didn't have anything major, and during the inspection I got the bright idea to put the shoes on without socks and boy oh boy am I happy I did. The bumps make way more since. They massage the feet and feel great when you're not wearing socks. I don't think I would go sockless on a run or while doing TacFit, but I'm happy to go sockless the rest of the way.

That's it for day one with the Jordan MA2 a good day for a shoe that has some room to improve.

I have more than enough sneakers to rotate, but when it came time for me to find an everyday shoe many Youtube reviewers didn't fulfil my needs. Many seemed to only wear the shoe for about a day if that. All the shoes are comfortable and all the shoes look great. NOT! I decided to just give it a try myself and spend the next 30 days wearing one pair of shoes, the Jordan MA2, and give a review of the shoe after it's been through a little more than a grocery run or theme park day with the kids.
