Journal entry 3: I'm not done living.

in #journal6 years ago

Holy crap, I lived to see another year! I turned 34 this year and I’ve started to actually feel the effects of the End Stage Liver Disease that I’m living with. The doctors have started to change my diet and routine check ups are now more involving than just a quick conversation and a cold stethoscope to the chest. I was talking to a passerby who mentioned her father-in-law was dying of ESLD and she told me how he was suffering from hallucinations and confusion and all I could think to myself is, “I don’t want to go out like that.” I’ve since started giving myself reasons to keep the fight up.

I re-enrolled into University to finish my Bachelor’s degree. It’s been a few years since I was in Uni but hey they say you’re never too old to go back to school. I only had a semester left so I’m hoping when they calculate the new classes in I won’t have to do more than a year.

My car broke down, well technically I broke the clutch finally. I wanted to replace it before it fully went out, but I got sick and the bills called. I got a new rack and pinion and a Clutchmasters FX100 series clutch. I ordered a Clutchmasters flywheel and some other parts too. ZOOM ZOOM!!!

My Dad got me this spiffy looking polished oil cap.
