NASA probe Juno: video shows spectacular Jupiter flyby - must-see!

in #jupiter8 years ago (edited)

Since months the NASA probe Juno encircles Jupiter. Beside important data for scientists, the probe also transmit impressive photos of Jupiters surface. Now these pictures were reworked and put together to an absolutely SPECTACULAR Jupiter flyby-video - here you can see a short preview:

But that little GIF above is nothing compared to the full video at Youtube - you must see! Don't forget to switch to fullscreen mode and turning on your speakers! This low altitude-flyby is just unbelievable. To converge this gigantic gas-monster such close is IMHO similary fascinating and scary. Shortly after watching the video at fullscreen I´ve noticed that I unconscious moved my head away a little bit from screen while viewing - such a close flyby is nerve-racking and Jupiter is just too authoritative! :)

Just unbelievable what this little probe performs so far away from earth, face to face with this terrifying gas giant and its huge magnetic field. So "hats off" to NASA and all their involved parties for such an amazing, challenging and successful mission. And also congrats to all participants who realized this awesome video - I´m really impressed.

"Thank you" for your attention and sorry for my rookie English.
